Snapshots and Independent mode

Snapshot is a chart template with fixed settings, lines, and limits. It is used when you need several charts with the same symbol and timeframe but different sets of lines and limits.

In a standard chart, limits and lines are saved automatically when the platform is closed. In a snapshot chart, changes are not saved automatically. After making changes, resave the snapshot with Setup -> Save Snapshot or Market Watch -> Layout -> Save all snapshots. The saved template can then be loaded with Setup -> Load snapshot.

While a chart is in Snapshot mode, lines, drawings, and limits created in that chart are not copied to other charts with the same symbol.

Independent mode makes the window completely independent of changes in other windows with the same symbol. Lines, limits, and settings changed in an independent window do not affect other windows and are not saved automatically when the platform is closed.

To take a chart out of Snapshot mode, open Setup and turn off Independent Mode. After leaving independent mode, all changed settings are reset.
