Set up the workspace

VolFix opens with a default layout. You can add charts, close windows you do not need, and open additional tools from the main Market Watch window.

Workspace and chart settings are stored when you save the layout. To save automatically when the platform closes, open Market Watch > Setup > Global Settings and switch Auto Save Current Layout on.

Open a chart

Open a chart from Market Watch > Start > Chart, or use Setup > Clone Window to duplicate an existing chart.

Enter a symbol, select an item from the dropdown list, choose the chart type and timeframe, and select Apply.

Understand the chart

The chart settings video explains the main elements shown when a chart opens.

• Horizontal Histogram shows accumulated trading volume at each price for the selected period. The Value Area highlights 70% of total volume. Configure it in Setup > Studies > Horizontal Histogram.
• Point of Control is highlighted in red and marks the price level with the highest traded volume.
• Vertical Histogram shows volume in blue and delta in red and green. Green delta indicates buying dominance; red delta indicates selling dominance.

• Timeframe 2 separates volume distribution by configured intervals, such as the Asian, European, and US sessions.
• Points of Control can be shown for Today, Last Day, Week, and other periods. See the POC configuration tutorial.
• Big Trade Auto Size displays aggregated trades as circles sized in proportion to trade volume.

Bright cluster colors indicate higher volume; darker colors usually represent smaller or average volume. Configure the automatic heatmap in Setup > Studies > Volume Heatmap.

When a chart is zoomed out, profile mode is disabled automatically for a clearer volume view. To change this, open Setup > Settings > Cluster/Box > Auto profile mode.

Create and save a workspace

After configuring a chart, clone it as needed and arrange the windows on your monitors. Save the layout from Market Watch > Layout > Save Layout.
